Quotes of the day!!! part II
More useless rubbish for the dust bunnies!!!
1) To reach your own dream,
you must be prepared to crush the dreams of others.
Self explanatory, but in case you are in denial, just think about it. The world isn’t kind, it isn’t some place where all are equal. We are equal as living beings, but in the domain of human society, the ladder to the top would not allow weakness. There can only be one boss, there can only be one scholar. The limited number of entries in universities, the limited number of food in the super market, the house that you bought for your family has robbed the shelter of another. The peace rally you went for to stop war has caused inconvenience for others like the police, like the people who do not want to do anything with your rally. War and peace, either way, you must be prepared to sacrifice others to achieve one.
2) Love that is lost can never be found,
A love that is found, can never be lost.
Once you have lost that love, it is lost for good. Once you have found a new love, that feeling of love would never leave your side.
3) Faces of millions make the face of one,
I am many, and we are one.
What makes a nation? What makes a species? Is it science? Is it faith? Is it law? What makes us ‘us’? A government is meant to represent the people, but they are seen as a power that dominates over the people. The military and police are meant to protect the people, they are the shield of the many, volunteers from civilians who bear arms to protect what is important to them. But since when did they become a dog for power?
4) Forgive the sins of the past,
they will never come back.
Forget the deeds of the present,
they are but mere seconds.
Forge the paths of the future,
they lead us forward.
5) Everybody’s going somewhere,
but nobody’s going anywhere.
just something i said out of the blue while stuck in a traffic jam. My sis, who sat next to me while i said that, told me that it was really dark, even for her depressed standards.
Quotes of the day!!
I decided to add a little something, because i’m bored and because the exams are drawing in so close that i can smell the ink coming from the printing machines in the arts building….. scary…. sigh, why is brain and behaviour for psychology so hard? Or is it just me? I think it’s just me…. everyone gets 70s and such…. i’m the only douche getting 40s…. what the hell…. i only just barely passed the first part of the course.
Anyway, onto the quotes of the day! Though these were more or less formulated through out the semester.
1) Towers are symbols of man’s arrogance,
a testament to his technology.
Songs are his pride,
proof of his culture.
This is saying many things. One, the symbol of man’s arrogance, creatures of land who dare to reach for the sky. And yet it also shows how far humans have come. Songs are his pride, for it is more complex than words, more simple than emotions, and a devotion to his heritage and past. Within songs, you have words filled with emotions that pay tribute to past, present and future. A man’s pride, life.
2) Justice is remembered for a second,
Evil would stain for an eternity.
It is common to see how people who rejoice for justice, but even good people would be seen as evil as soon as they did one bad deed. It is easier to see the darkness than the light. Easier to see the wrong than the right.
3) Man is not born a man,
a hero is not born great,
but rather it is the trials he faces with determination that makes him who he is.
self explanatory.
4) To pull the trigger,
and end a life.
To extend a hand,
and save many more.
Sounds like one of those charity adverts….
5) Justice would not exist without evil and vice versa.
Both would not exist without morals.
Morals would not exist without words.
Words would not exist without humans.
What makes justice and evil, is within the mind of a man.
again, self-explanatory, more like this one is too long.
